Today's Drawgust illustration is a boy sitting on a swing, looking out over a vast, fantastical valley.
Originally, I set out on this project to just make a collection of cartoons, to serve as potential inspiration for this year's Chalk It Up festival, but I've been venturing into more complicated images now, so maybe a course-correction is in order? I don't know... I've been enjoying the practice!
We'll see how things go as I start adding color, I guess!

Here's a concept I made recently - hopefully the first of a set. It's the first real digital drawing I've made with my new iPad Pro (using Procreate) and I'm starting to get the hang of it.
Will it ever become a game? We'll see!

After all these years, I've finally got some hardware capable of doing digital drawing - and so I've been spending time playing around with it in my spare time, getting used to how it feels, and learning how to use Manga Studio 5.

Here's the final of the poster I made for one of my ex-coworkers, who is at the 49ers/Seahawks game on Thanksgiving. Maybe they'll get it on TV!
