3D Faux Mode 7 Effect

A basic example of how to use a combination of textures, models, billboards, and some camera tricks to create the modern equivalent of the old Super NES Mode 7 effect as seen in the original Mario Kart. This example uses GameMaker’s native 3D, and does not actually emulate real Mode 7, with all its jittery, nearest-neighbor transforms of old.

    Hi,

Thank you for making this available for download.

Would it be possible to tweak the variables and I presume camera set up in the project to create a Pilotwings view? I wanted to get a similar effect to Tears of the Kingdom (or Pilotwings) so the player dives form the sky to the ground and has to land on a target.
