Drawrch 2024 #6: Curls

An illustration of a woman looking slightly sideways at the viewer, with her head turned and tilted a bit. She has a pale complexion, pink lipstick, blue eyes, and large glasses with round lenses. Her hair is brown and very curly. It is put up in the back, but many curls are falling down from her forehead over the side of her face.

For today's Drawrch illustration, I set out to draw something a little more cartoony than normal, and ended up drifting hard toward the stuff I've been doing for most of the rest of the drawings in this project so far. 😵

I guess I needed to focus more on sketching it cartoony? I don't know. It's been a long day, so I just wanted to get through it. I wish I could have spent more time on the hair though - the curls in the reference photo were crazy!

Anyway, this was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Inka brush for almost everything else, and the Hartz brush for background texture.
