June toons 2026 #14: Minecraft Mine Cart

A cartoon illustration of a Minecraft player and a Creeper riding in a mine cart together. The player has a light complexion, a red shirt, and messy brown hair. Behind him is a Creeper. The player is gripping the edge of the mine cart and they both look scared. There are a couple drops of sweat coming off the Creeper. The mine cart is at an oblique angle facing to the left and partly towards the viewer. It has speed lines coming off of it, but it is not drawn on track. The background is a dull, gray blue with a lighter glow behind the mine cart and characters.

Today's June Toons cartoon was inspired by my son, who is currently obsessed with Minecraft (especially the mine cart rides).

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, and the Soft air brush for shading.
