Inktober 2026 #5: Smack

A black and white illustration of Batman smacking Robin, like the well-known meme. Batman and Robin both look stylized and slightly weird, with Batman's head drawn wide, and smiling instead of frowning. Robin's head has flown off his neck in a comical way, and his flying head is in profile, with wide eyes, mouth in an 'O' shape, and spit flying out of his mouth. The drawing is in the style of an old comic with uneven inking lines, halftone shading, and a distressed look.

today's Inktober illustration, I drew my own take on the well-known Batman Smacking Robin meme. This one was partially inspired by Ged Maheux's Inktober drawing from today, where he drew Batman punching a villain. 😄

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Rusty Nib 1 brush for linework, the Inka and the Rough Dot Shader 45° Light brushes for shading, and the Worn 1 - Subtle and Worn 2 - Subtle brushes for the distressed overlay.

The Rusty Nib brush is from the Rusty Nib pack, the Rough Dot Shader brush is from the Beat Tones pack, and the Worn brushes are from the Fast Grit pack. Those are all by True Grit Texture Supply.
