Today's Inktober prompt was "ogre", and I had a hard time coming up with something to draw. Partly because a small part of me just wanted me to draw Shrek (and the rest of me really didn't), and partly because I just don't draw stuff like this much, and so nothing obvious was coming to mind.
I did some image searching (which, thanks to AI slop, is absolutely dreadful now) and most everything there had ogres looking like larger orcs, which didn't seem right. Wikipedia defined ogres as large, people-eating people, which also felt odd.
I settled on the idea of a hulking fantasy-ish orc-ish ogre doing something dainty, like having tea. It's fine!
Anyway, this was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Inka brush for linework, and the Gouache brush for light shading and background texture.
