This is my fourteenth illustration for Drawrch!

I've always kind of liked this style but have never really attempted it before. It would've been a bit harder if I had drawn more than just the face, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. The Inka brush did a lot of heavy lifting for this one.

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching and the Inka brush for linework and color.

The photo I used as a reference for this drawing is from SketchDaily.

Here's my thirteenth illustration for Drawrch!

This one was a little bit of an experiment with the Flat brush, and my will to not go in and add detail lines at the end. The hair could be better, but I need to practice that more. Overall, I like how it turned out.

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, and the Flat brush for the rest.

This is my twelfth illustration for Drawrch. I named it "Back in the Groove" because I felt like it was a good return-to-basics for me, and a good end to the weekend.

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, the Larapuna brush for shading/details, and the Soft air brush for a little smudging.

The photo I used as a reference for this drawing is from SketchDaily.

Here's my tenth illustration for Drawrch!

I liked this one better as a sketch. The lines/colors are interesting, but I'm not sure if I like how they all came together. I also wish it looked a little more like my reference photo, but I was trying to do it quickly, so that's how it goes.

Someday I should overlay the finished drawings on their reference photos and see how close I got. That might make for an interesting look into how I could do better with my initial sketches.

Anyway, this was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, and the Quoll brush, Soft air brush, and Splatter spray paint brush for background texture.

The photo I used as a reference for this drawing is from SketchDaily.

Here's my ninth illustration for Drawrch - or should I say, Draaaaaarghch?

Thought I'd go a little simpler for this one after almost missing yesterday's and getting done at around 11:40 PM!

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, and the Hartz brush for background texture.

Here's my eighth illustration for Drawrch - barely under the wire for today! 😅

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching and the Syrup brush for linework and fills.

Here's my seventh illustration for Drawrch. That's a full week of faces already!

I exported this one three or four times before I really got it right - you can see me making a lot of last-minute edits at the end if you watch the time-lapse below. I tried to make it a little more stylized than some of the previous ones, but I'm still working on getting comfortable with that.

I really want to avoid veering off into caricature territory, especially as I'm branching out and drawing a wider variety of people.

Anyway, this was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, and the Larapuna brush for shading/texture.

The photo I used as a reference for this drawing is from SketchDaily.

Here's my fifth illustration for Drawrch! I kept it pretty simple, even though it looks a lot like some of the more complicated ones I've done so far. I'm mostly happy with it, but I think the hair could probably use some work.

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, and the Larapuna brush for fills/texture.
