For today's Drawrch illustration, I drew a dude in a similar style as some of my other drawings from this project, but with a more colorful background.
Originally, I had planned on just having the drawing be plain red in the background, but at the last minute decided to try some color. After mulling over it a bit, I settled on this design. It's not perfect, but I like the messy background coloring bleeding into the shading of the subject. I think it makes it less mundane/safe.
This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Inka brush for linework, and the Tarraleah brush for background texture/shading.
