Inktober 2024 #10: Nomadic

An illustration of a nomadic bird. The bird is giving the viewer an inquisitive look. He is dressed in a brown cloak and sash, and has a backpack and bedroll strapped to his back. He is holding a staff in one hand, which has an oblong opening at the top, perfectly centered on the moon in the background. The bird is a reddish-pink, with yellow legs and beak. The moon is a pale yellow and is casting a bright blue glow on the edges of the bird. The background is a vast desert, colored blue in the light of the night. The sky is peppered with stars.

Today's Inktober prompt was "nomadic" and I had no idea what to draw for it. So I drew a bird in a cloak, with a staff. I guess he's a nomad? 😅

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, the Soft air brush for shading, and the Fat Nozzle, Splatter, and Flicks spray paint brushes for background texture.

If you'd like to see how I drew this one, you can watch the time-lapse below:
