Inktober 2025 #10: Sweep

Martin · 145 days (10:04 PM · Oct 10, 2025)
An illustration of a game of Minesweeper, a classic computer game played on a grid in which the player flags and clears hidden mines. Many of the squares are cleared, with the remaining squares are blank, flagged, or showing a number, indicating the number of bombs in the adjacent squares. One square displays a face with x's for eyes, indicating that the player clicked a mine on accident and lost the game. A nearby square has a mine on it, showing a missed bomb. The drawing is made to look slightly weathered and is in black and white.

Today's Inktober prompt was "sweep". I dodged any sort of janitorial theme I might've been tempted to do and went straight for something much sillier: Minesweeper. 😵

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Inka brush for linework, and the Halftone Stamp 1 and Worn 4 Subtle brushes for additional texture.

Those last two brushed are from the Fast Grit pack by True Grit Texture Supply.

If you'd like to see how I drew this one, you can watch the time-lapse below:
