Inktober 2025 #12: Shredded

Martin · 143 days (10:46 PM · Oct 12, 2025)
An illustration of a crumpled paper going through a paper shredder and the shreds coming out the other side. The paper is white and is going in long-ways. It has a happy face drawn on it, which is cut off at the middle of the mouth. The paper shredder is a very basic long, gray rectangle with a non-descript screen on the left side. The background is gray with spray paint splotches on it. The drawing is in black and white.

Today's Inktober prompt was "shredded", and I chose to go quite literal with it. It was fun working on something with a different aesthetic from my usual drawings though, and I like how it turned out!

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, the Soft air brush for shading, and the Burst spray paint brush and Toner Grit Fine 2 brush for background texture.

The Toner Grit brush is from the Fast Grit pack, by True Grit Texture Supply.

If you'd like to see how I drew this one, you can watch the time-lapse below:
