While I was settling down to draw today's Februdoodle illustration, I started listening to a show on YouTube. Someone off-handedly mentioned Bigfoot on the show, and that got my creativity going.

So here is Bigfoot, with a not-so-big foot. Apologies in advance to my metric friends out there. I didn't use centimeters on the tape measure because I didn't want to draw all those numbers. Pure laziness.

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Rusty Nib 1 brush for linework, the Rough Dot Shader 45/Light brush for some light shading, and the Worn 1 - Bold brush for background grit.

Today's Februdoodle illustration was inspired by our visit to a local Mexican supermarket, to pick up some yummy pastries. Conchas were one of many goodies we picked up there (and subsequently ate). It was a tasty afternoon! 😋

This is based on a story that is only partially true, because I definitely rode on a small carnival-style rollercoaster with my son today and not a single person fell out! 😎

The Number Munchers were my obsession back in elementary school. Now they are the subject of my seventh Februdoodle illustration!

That's the first week of Februdoodle done, and it sure went by quickly! I am already starting to feel my creativity strain a bit, but I think I will hit my stride soon enough.

Anyway, this was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Rusty Nib 1 brush for linework, the Rough Dot Shader 45/Light brush for some extra shading, and the Medium Nozzle spray paint brush for a final bit of background texture.

Today's Februdoodle illustration is a mad scientist holding his experiment - a pink liquid in a flask - over his head and staring at it menacingly.

I don't know what inspired this one, but I had the idea pop into my head as I sat down to draw, and it turned out just about how I initially envisioned it. The sky blue skin was an idea I had in-progress, and I think I might've been channeling Maniac Mansion a bit there. 😎

Here's my fifth Februdoodle illustration!

I think I'll be sticking with this low-color style for the time being. It's challenging me in a good way, and helping keep things in a good scope for now. I'm sure I'll move onto other styles as the project progresses! 😎

Here's my second illustration for Februdoodle: The Wild Box!

My son has a small puzzle box with various locks on each side. He likes to keep a small teddy bear in there, along with a collection of little origami I made for him.

For reasons we are still trying to figure out, one day he started calling it "the wild box", and I think it's funny and cute. 😄

Well, I almost forgot, but today is the start of yet another Februdoodle - a project where I draw a new thing every day for the month of February.

This is my first drawing, which is just sort of the mood I'm in right now. I wanted to draw something a little crazier, but my son really likes seeing my drawings and he's just a little guy, so... I have to keep it a little PG. Most of the time, anyway. 😅
