My fourth June Toons illustration turned a little dark (and got a little meme-y).
I wasn't sure what I wanted to draw, and after sitting there thinking about it for too long, I just started drawing a guy smoking. I wanted it to look more like some kind of henchman - with a heavier man and maybe less of a story, but after I added the hat, he started looking like a mobster, and that was it for me. I threw in a building in flames and some dramatic lighting and it was done.
I didn't intend for it to look like the famous Disaster Girl meme, but it's kind of funny that it does.
This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, and the Soft airbrush and Tarraleah brush for background texture.
