I like occasionally drawing people from absurd shapes, and that's exactly what I did with today's Februdoodle. I've done similar images for other projects before, with a very mis-matched man and woman together in a portrait, and I always end up making the woman tower over the man. Not sure why!

Anyway, this was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, the Soft air brush for shading, and the Fat Nozzle spray paint brush for texture.

Today's Februdoodle illustration is of another inside joke with my wife and son: Lizard Milk.

My son once saw a lizard try to sneak into my wife's office, and ever since it grew into a character that we frequently throw into stories, pretend like he's coming along with us on trips, etc. One such trip was to the grocery store, and since my wife, my son, and I all drink different types of milk, it seemed only natural that we have the lizard buying his own "lizard milk" as well. 😆

Today's Februdoodle illustration is a worried marshmallow with a small roasted portion on the back of it. I almost feel bad for it, but roasted marshmallows are just too yummy.

I started this Februdoodle illustration wanting to draw a cartoon fly, and then changed course and drew a coffee mug instead! 😵‍💫

I'm starting to get a little nervous about March's drawing project, Drawrch. I've had to crunch a lot of these Februdoodle drawings because I don't always have a ton of time for drawing in the evening. With Drawrch, I do portraits every day, and those usually take a pretty good amount of time, so... we'll see, I guess! 😅

When I create Februdoodle illustration, I don't usually like copying and pasting large parts of the sketch, but this idea really called for it. I like making silly stuff like this! 🤪

I've been wanting to make a Februdoodle illustration like the one I did of a paper airplane a few years ago for Inktober 2022 but I never really had a good idea for what the subject matter ought to be.

Today, I randomly got the idea to draw a pizza slice and as soon as I started drawing, I knew this was going to be similar. It's mostly just the isometric angle of the pizza slice and the hard black shadow, but it's pretty close, I'd say. And it sorta makes me hungry, too. 😅

Today's Februdoodle illustration is a little strange, but I like it that way.

Household duties coupled with some late-running work left me with not a lot of time to work on this, but I actually like that sometimes - it forces me to make choices and commitments that I might not otherwise make. To the art's benefit, more often than not!
