June Toons 2024 #10: Fresh Air

For today's June Toons cartoon, I drew a cat leaning out the window to smell a flower. This is a small celebration I'm having for the end of my spring allergies (RIP cooler weather, though 😔).

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching and the Smooth Natural Nib brush for everything else. That one's from the Rusty Nib brush pack from True Grit Texture Supply.

June Toons 2024 #9: Squirrel Man

The man has a scruffy mustache and goatee, and scraggily hair sticking out from a floppy, pointed brown beanie. He has a light complexion, orange hair, and a red shirt. The man is drawn in various shades or orange, red, and brown, and the background is a light green with a noisy yellow burst from behind the man.

Today's June Toons cartoon is my attempt at drawing a human from a picture of an animal - in this case, a red squirrel. The result is sort of grotesque, but I had fun making it. 🙃

This was created in Procreate with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, using the Procreate Pencil brush for sketching, the Syrup brush for linework, the Soft air brush for gradients, and the Fat Nozzle spray paint brush for background texture.

June Toons 2024 #8: A Familiar Duck

Today's June Toons cartoon is another pretty basic one, but maybe that's just going to be the theme for this project. It's been tough finding time this month!

June Toons 2024 #7: Day & Night

This has been a weird week for me personally, so I've had a hard time getting these drawings done at a reasonable hour each day. So far, I've been enjoying the infusion of creativity though. On to the next week!

June Toons 2024 #6: Say What?

June Toons 2024 #5: Cap’n Crunched

June Toons 2024 #4: Red Crayon

I seem to be having some trouble getting these out on time this week, which is a bit of a bummer for the opening week of the project, but I'm hoping things will smooth out as things go on.

June Tunes 2024 #2: Twinkie The Kid

Here's my second entry for June Toons - anyone remember this guy? It's Twinkie the Kid, but with a little more grit than the old days. 🤠

June Toons 2024 #1: Triking
